SOME TIME
YMCA CHILD WATCH
Child Watch has always been a feature of our YMCA that members continuously appreciate. Over the last year, that was made apparent more than ever. In 2011, Child Watch had 5,849 visits which is a usage increase of 40% from 2010. That is something Child Watch Coordinator, Alice May, can be very proud of.
Becky Wall, mother of 5-year old Taylor and 18-month old Hailey (pictured to the right), has been bringing her children to Child Watch since they moved to Aberdeen a year ago. “Not only can I get my workout in but my two children are able to go to a fun, safe place and play with other kids their age,” Becky said. “It motivates me to workout every day because my kids don’t want to miss Child Watch!”
The Child Watch staff consists of 20 part-time workers and volunteers. “I love Alice and her crew of employees but more importantly, so do my kids,” Becky said. To learn more about Child Watch and what options it may have for you and your family, CLICK HERE.
