NEW LEAF,
NEW LIFE, NEW TIME
TIFFANY HALAMA
Tiffany grew up on a dairy farm in a small town called Pittsville in central Wisconsin.
After graduating high school, Tiffany went to University of Wisconsin-Stout and obtained her Bachelor's of Science degree in Dietetics. After completing her degree, Tifffany was selected to participate in a 10 month dietetic internship through Michigan State University. After completing her internship she took her board exam and became a Registered Dietitian.
After passing the exam Tiffany applied for the New Leaf Coordinator job at the Aberdeen Family YMCA, and was offered the position. "I applied for the position as my own values are complimented by the YMCAs," Tiffany said. "I couldn’t be happier to be working for a facility with a Christian background promoting a sound mind, body, and soul. I also applied for this position because I love helping others. It brings me great satisfaction to motivate people and be a positive support to help them reach their goals."
Tiffany will have meet and greet opportunities in the Wellness Center on October 2 and 3. Come meet with her for a chance to win $50 in New Leaf services!

TAKE THE WORRY OUT
OF YOUR WORKOUT
WITH ACTIVTRAX
Let’s face it: Americans want—and need—to get a handle on their well-being. The Y is helping you do just that. On October 1st, we unveiled ActivTrax: a total wellness system that provides sound guidance on exercise, weight loss & nutrition. As our nation continues to battle health problems like obesity, diabetes, heart disease, and overall stress, ActivTrax couldn’t come to the community at a better time.
Faced with an onslaught of misinformation, get-fit-quick schemes, and horrific dietary choices, the knowing just what to do can be tricky. With ActivTrax, Y members will have a simple tool that they can use at their own pace, one that will give sensible guidance and help them reach their goals healthfully.
“We think ActivTrax will give our members the tools they need to achieve success; we couldn’t be more excited for its prospects. From stress management to weight loss to proper nutrition, we think this system will be a tremendous asset to our facility and to the community on the whole,” said Derik Budig, Associate Director.
